Q. I have installed DeltaGraph 4.01 on Windows 95a, and now my Copy and Paste functions do not work. Is there anyway to fix it? A. To correct the problem please follow the instructions below. The instructions will lead you through uninstall DeltaGraph 4.01, then reinstalling it & the current patches for Windows 95 while in Safe mode. 1. Uninstall DeltaGraph 4.01. Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel. Double click on Add/Remove Programs. Select DeltaGraph under the Install/Uninstall tab, and then select the Add/Remove button. Windows will lead you through the rest of the uninstall. 2. Download the applicable patches for Windows 95. Please open your Internet Browser to this location: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.asp. Download and save the files to C:Temp. You and download and apply as many of the patches as you like, but the following are recommended. Windows 95 Year 2000 Update Windows Library Update Windows 95 Service Pack 1 Windows 95 OLE 32 Update Windows 95 Backup Update 3. Reboot your computer into Safe mode. Safe mode is a diagnostic mode that starts only the programs and utilities necessary to operating system. These do not include programs that run the background like virus checkers and screen savers. When you restart your computer in normal mode, all programs will be reactivated. To start in Safe mode on Windows 95/98, restart your computer (Start->Shut Down->Restart the Computer). When you see "Starting Windows..." hold down the F8 key. From the menu that comes up, select "Safe Mode". On Windows NT, as part of the boot up sequence, you will get a list of options. Select Microsoft Windows NT (VGA Mode). VGA Mode on Windows NT is the analog of Safe mode on Windows 95/98. 4. Install DeltaGraph. Insert the first diskette into the A: drive and follow the instructions after that. 5. Install the Windows 95 Updates. Find the updates in the C:Temp file. Double click on each to install. 6. Reboot computer into Normal mode. Once the installations of DeltaGraph and the Windows Updates are complete, restart your computer normally. Test the installation of DeltaGraph & the Copy & Paste functions.
