| Not Enough Disk Space to Install Delta Graph 5.0 |
Q. I am trying to install DeltaGraph 5.0 for Windows into a directory on a partition that has a lot of available disk space. After I enter my license code, I get the error message, 'there is not enough space to install these options. please free up some disk space or modify selections'. Why is the installation asserting that I don't have enough disk space?
A. It is possible that you are writing temporary files to a partition with very little disk space left. You need to redirect your temporary files to a partition with ample disk space or remove any unnecessary files from the existing partition, i.e. files stored in the emp directory. To redirect your temporary files, please follow the procedure specific to your operating system. Also, please remember to create the target directory if it does not already exist. Windows 95/98/ME Edit the autoexec.bat file located in C: using any text editor and insert the following line SET TEMP = where is the desired location for temporary files. If a SET TEMP statement exists, please edit the existing line. Windows NT Click on Start->Settings->Control Panel and double-click on the System icon. Next, locate the Environment tab - you will see a User and a System section. The Environment variable should be changed wherever there is a TEMP or TMP reference. For example, if you are redirecting your temporary files from C:| to D:|, change the C to a D wherever you see the TEMP or TMP reference Windows 2000 Click on Start->Settings->Control Panel and double-click on the System icon. Next, locate the Advanced tab and select the Environment button - you will see a User and a System section. The Environment variable should be changed wherever there is a TEMP or TMP reference. For example, if you are redirecting your temporary files from C:| to D:|, change the C to a D wherever you see the TEMP or TMP reference
